Akor Adams excused from Super Eagles camp to be with hospitalised mother

Akor Adams has left Super Eagles camp to stay with his hospitalised mother.

Nigeria forward Akor Adams has been granted compassionate leave from camp after his mother was hospitalised.

The striker left the Super Eagles camp to be at her side, with the team and supporters sending prayers and heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery.

Adams has been outstanding at AFCON 2025, brilliantly scoring Nigeria’s fourth goal in the 4-0 win over Mozambique. He also created the opener for Ademola Lookman in that commanding round-of-16 performance. Indeed, the forward has been key to Nigeria’s perfect run so far.
