Nigeria’s Super Falcons shot-stopper Chiamaka Nnadozie has sealed a major career move to Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Women’s Super League (WSL) club confirmed that the 24-year-old Nigerian will officially join their ranks on July 1, once her contract with French giants Paris FC concludes.
Brighton head coach Dario Vidosic expressed delight at the signing, describing Nnadozie as a “commanding and talented” goalkeeper. According to him, her wealth of top-level experience, including Champions League outings, will inject confidence and depth into a squad already brimming with ambition. He stated that her arrival aligns with the club’s vision of building a competitive side for the upcoming season.

“It feels so great. I’m really excited to join this great club,” she said during her first official interview at the club.

Her performances didn’t go unnoticed. Between 2022 and 2025, Nnadozie featured 16 times in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Moreover, her remarkable consistency earned her a string of individual accolades in 2024. They include the UNFP Division 1 Féminine Goalkeeper of the Season — making her the first African ever to win the prestigious honour.
