Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo has reportedly chosen to represent Nigeria at the senior international level, according to multiple sources. This decision ends years of uncertainty about his international allegiance.
Adarabioyo, 27, was born in England to Nigerian parents. He is eligible to play for either country. While he has played for England at youth levels, he never received a senior call-up. Nigeria has long pursued him, and reports now suggest that he will join the Super Eagles.

His decision appears to have been through his first visit to Nigeria in July. During this trip, he organized a youth football tournament in Lagos and met with state officials and traditional leaders.
Adarabioyo joined Chelsea in 2024 and had an impressive first season, making 41 appearances. His addition will strenghten Nigeria’s defense. This switch may be a loss for England, which did not cap him at the senior level despite his strong performances in the Premier League.
