Furthermore, he said that we are in the middle of a pandemic. Hence, he is appealing to Lagosians, particularly people who we believe are in the vulnerable category.

Individuals over the age of 50 or 55 with underlying medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity or any other medical condition that interferes with their immune system, are extremely vulnerable to COVID-19.

In addition, young people should also be careful with their outings so that they do not contact the virus. Likewise, Lagosians, should continue to practise the social distancing measures.

These practices will help to flatten the curve and protect certain vulnerable members of the community.

The commissioner stated that; local government areas with the highest number of cases were Eti-Osa, Alimosho, Kosofe, Ikeja, Oshodi, Surulere and Lagos Mainland.

Osun State Government on Friday also said it might impose another lockdown if cases continue to increase with the new increased cases being recorded daily,.
