Davido confirms joint album with Chris Brown, set for release next year

Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has revealed that he is working on a collaborative project with American R&B singer Chris Brown, which is expected to be released next year.

The singer made this known during a recent appearance on the Swift Conversations podcast, where he spoke about the direction of his current music and future plans.

According to him, his sound is becoming more rooted in African influences, although he remains open to working with international acts.

“The music I am making now is very African. In this next project, I am working with a lot of my original producers from back home.

“However, I am still an American so definitely there’s going to be collaborations. Me and Chris Brown got an album coming next year,” he stated.

Davido and Chris Brown first teamed up on the 2019 hit track ‘Blow My Mind.’ Since then, both artists have collaborated on several songs, building a strong musical partnership.


Speculation about a joint album has been ongoing for some time, with Davido initially hinting at the project in 2023. He also disclosed that they have recorded numerous unreleased tracks together.
