Chief Dele Momodu has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The former presidential aspirant made this known in a letter dated July 17, 2025, addressed to the PDP Ward 4 Chairman in Ihievbe, Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State.
Momodu said he took the step because the PDP had been taken over by people who, according to him, no longer respect democratic values.
He explained that it was better for him to move on and align with a new group that shares his beliefs.
He described the PDP as a party that has lost its direction and claimed that many others are also switching sides to join the ADC.

Before this move, Momodu had been an active member of the PDP since 2021 and took part in key national discussions.
He is also known as the publisher of Ovation International and once contested for the presidency under the PDP.
His decision to switch to the ADC comes as more political figures leave their parties and join new coalitions, especially as preparations for the 2027 general elections continue across the country.
