Nigerian rapper Dremo has shared the reasons behind his departure from Davido Music Worldwide, stating that the label’s management placed more attention on its founder, Davido, than on other signees.
In a recent interview with Echo Room, the rapper explained that this imbalance affected the growth and opportunities available to artists under the label.
“I didn’t collaborate with Idowest who was my label mate and fellow rapper because at that time we were all striving to stay afloat in the music industry. Even DMW as a whole didn’t collaborated much, we never had a record label album. The management focused only on Davido,” he said.
