Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah in celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.

He urged them to embrace the values of sacrifice, obedience, and submission to the will of Almighty Allah.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, Oyebanji described the festival as a profound reminder of Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering faith and devotion.

He called on Muslims to reflect these virtues through love, brotherhood, and peaceful coexistence.

He acknowledged the Muslim community as a key partner in the state’s development and encouraged continued collaboration in building a stronger, more united society.

The governor also appealed for prayers and support for his administration and that of President Bola Tinubu, expressing hope for a more prosperous future for both the state and the nation.

While urging the faithful to celebrate in moderation, he emphasised the importance of showing compassion to the less privileged.

“We wish the Muslim Ummah in our dear state and in Nigeria a happy Sallah and pray that God accepts our sacrifices as an act of Ibadah,” he said.
