Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn rematch locked for November showdown

The highly anticipated rematch between Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr is slated for November 2025.

After months of speculation, the highly anticipated rematch between British boxing rivals Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn is officially back on.

The explosive showdown is now set for 15 November at the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. This fight brings together, once again, one of the most gripping rivalries in modern British boxing.

Their first encounter in April was nothing short of electric. Despite no title being at stake, the bout captured the public’s imagination – largely because of the rich legacy behind it.

It came 35 years after their legendary fathers, Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn, first collided in one of boxing’s most storied rivalries. That April night ended in a clear decision win for Eubank Jr, with all three judges scoring it 116-112 in his favour.

Initially, a sequel had been slated for 20 September, and fans were eager to see the bitter feud reignited. However, as July progressed, doubts emerged. Team Benn began expressing concerns that Eubank was hesitant or not fully committed to the September bout. Promoter Eddie Hearn even declared the rematch “dead” just days later, dashing hopes of a swift return.

Nevertheless, in an unexpected twist, the rematch has now been revived. Ring Magazine, owned by Turki Alalshikh – the Saudi boxing powerbroker behind several mega fights – announced the new date. Hearn also confirmed the update on Instagram, adding further credibility. While Eubank Jr and his team have remained silent on the matter, the signs now point to a confirmed clash.

Alalshikh’s involvement reportedly played a major role in bringing the fight back to life. His surprise revelation of the original September date had caught both camps off guard, yet it also inspired negotiations. Though Eubank hasn’t publicly commented, it’s believed he had reservations about the rehydration clause in the original agreement and possibly the timeline.

Still, all signs suggest both fighters are finally on board. Eubank, despite entering the last bout weight-drained, controlled the fight and managed to keep the smaller Benn at bay throughout. With fans still replaying the drama of Eubank Sr’s dramatic WWE-style entrance and the emotional stakes that night, anticipation for the rematch is naturally sky-high.
