Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner has praised Nigerian midfielder Chrisantus Uche following his standout display in Europe.
The former Getafe man delivered a moment of brilliance during Palace’s UEFA Europa Conference League draw with KuPS after he scored inside five minutes with a ferocious trivela from distance.
Expectedly, Selhurst Park erupted following the world-class strike as Palace grabbed early control of a fiercely contested tie.
The goal marked Uche’s first at home and confirmed his growing European influence as he has now found the net in consecutive Conference League appearances. However, the contest shifted as Palace briefly lost their shape after taking the lead. Despite that wobble, the hosts recovered and secured a 2-2 draw.

That result proved enough to send Crystal Palace into the knockout playoffs in February. Therefore, the evening ended with celebration rather than frustration.

Glasner reserved special praise for his younger players after the final whistle. He spoke about their energy, composure, and willingness to take responsibility. Speaking afterward, Glasner described Uche’s strike as “fantastic” and decisive. He also noted the brief structural lapse before Palace responded strongly.
