Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has shared the story of how she met her husband, revealing that she never considered marriage a major goal in her life before meeting him.
Speaking about her journey with Ifedayo Agoro, the actress said she never felt pressured to get married and was unsure if marriage would even be part of her future.
She explained that although several men had expressed interest in marrying her in the past, she turned down three marriage proposals.

Kadiri recalled that she first met her husband while at work. According to her, he approached her for a conversation, but she initially showed little interest because she assumed he was trying to start a romantic relationship.

However, their discussion took a different direction as they spoke about business opportunities, importation and Vietnam. She said there was no romantic exchange during their first meeting.
The actress revealed that after the conversation ended, she felt convinced that he would eventually become her husband. Despite that feeling, she cut off communication with him two days later.
She said her future husband later made efforts to reconnect with her and unexpectedly appeared at one of her film sets. After re-establishing contact, he invited her on a date.
Kadiri explained that she was in a relationship at the time but informed her partner that she intended to go on the date. As they spent more time together, she gradually developed feelings for the man who would later become her husband.
According to the actress, their relationship moved quickly, and four months after they began talking, he proposed to her. She accepted the proposal, leading to their eventual marriage.
She also disclosed that she is naturally private and does not usually share details of her personal life online. However, she chose to make aspects of the relationship public because it helped her remain committed to it.
Kadiri and her husband have largely kept their marriage away from public attention.
