Nigerian music star Ruger has opened up about his early love for music and how it led him to sneak out of the house to attend parties when he was just a child.
In a recent appearance on the Afrobeats Intelligence podcast hosted by Joey Akan, the singer, whose real name is Michael Adebayo Olayinka, revealed that his passion for Afrobeats and Dancehall started before he even turned 10.
“I was sneaking out to go to parties to listen to Afrobeats and Dancehall. I was not up to 10 years old then, but I knew how to dance. So I would just go to parties and shake my body,” he said.
