If there’s anyone Allwell has offended, please forgive her – Rotimi Salami appeals at Ademola’s Service of Songs

Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami called on colleagues and loved ones to forgive the late Allwell Ademola for any wrongs and continue praying for her soul.

He also urged members of the film industry to stay united and ensure that the works and impact she left behind remain alive in Nollywood.

“If there’s anyone Allwell has offended, directly or indirectly, please, forgive her and keep praying for her,” Salami urged the crowd while holding back his tears.

He also emphasised the importance of maintaining her impact on the industry, adding, “I think the only thing we can actually do is to find a way in unity to keep her legacy. Even if she’s gone, let all that she has done stay with us and be with us.”

The emotional appeal was made during a special prayer session organised in Lagos for the late actress and producer, where many of her colleagues gathered to pay their respects.

Videos shared on social media showed Salami visibly moved as he addressed the crowd and spoke about Ademola’s life, work and relationship with people in the industry.

Several Nollywood actors and actresses were present at the event, including Afeez Abiodun, Kunle Afod and others who joined in the wrap prayer.

Other notable faces spotted at the Service of Songs included Odunlade Adekola, Saheed Balogun, Bolaji Amusan, Abiola Adebayo, Iyabo Ojo, Fausat Balogun, Eniola Ajao and Fathia Balogun.

Most of those in attendance wore customised white T-shirts bearing Ademola’s photograph as a sign of honour and remembrance.

Details released by her family showed that the Service of Songs was followed by preparations for a candlelight procession.

An Artistes’ Night was also planned to take place the same evening, with closing remarks scheduled for 11 pm.

The burial ceremony is expected to hold on Friday at the Atan Cemetery in Yaba, Lagos State.

Ademola died on December 27 after suffering a heart attack at her residence.
