Jack Grealish has been rewarded for his blistering form with Everton after being named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for August.
The 30-year-old winger, who is on loan from Manchester City, has made an immediate impact with the Toffees, registering four assists in just two starts.
His creativity inspired back-to-back wins over Brighton and Wolves, while he also featured as a substitute in the season opener at Leeds. Notably, Grealish’s tally of four assists is already two more than any other player three games into the new campaign.
Record-breaking feat for the England international
This marks Grealish’s first-ever Player of the Month award, and he becomes the first Everton player to claim the honour since Dominic Calvert-Lewin in September 2020.

His consistency has also carved out history, as he is the first Everton player to deliver multiple assists in consecutive Premier League matches. Remarkably, he now has the chance to extend that streak to three games when Everton face his former club Aston Villa on Saturday.
Since making his Premier League debut for Villa in 2014, Grealish has made 193 league appearances, winning three titles with Manchester City.
However, before arriving at Goodison Park, he had only twice provided two assists in a single league game. Interestingly, his Everton spell has already eclipsed that record.
The winger topped an eight-man shortlist to claim the prize, after a public vote was combined with the verdict of a panel of football experts. For Everton fans, his award is a promising sign that their marquee loan signing is set to become a decisive figure this season.
