Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel has released a deeply emotional EP titled Lemon Chase, a seven-track project that weaves together themes of love, heartbreak, healing, and joy in a bold sonic narrative.

More than a precursor to his highly anticipated album Uncle K, Lemon Chase stands as a reflection of the artist’s personal journey and growth.

From the mesmerizing first track, Black Girl Magic, to the poignant closer Police, which features Johnny Drille and five-time Grammy winner Angélique Kidjo, each song offers a glimpse into the singer’s emotional world.

The EP also boasts a vibrant mix of collaborators. Bella Shmurda, Odumodu Blvck, and Zlatan bring street grit and high energy, while Fola—who previously teamed up with Kizz Daniel on Lost—returns with lyrical elegance that complements the project’s depth.

Together, these artists help shape a rich soundscape that celebrates the diversity and emotional richness of Afrobeats.

Behind the scenes, a stellar lineup of producers brings the music to life. Reward Beatz leads production on Eyo and joins forces with Bando and Blaise Beatz on Black Girl Magic. Blaise also produces Secure and Peace I Chose, while Titi comes alive through a joint effort by Magic Sticks, Reward Beatz, and Blaise. Ayzed closes out the production credits with his work on Al Jannah.

Reflecting on the EP, Kizz Daniel shares: “When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it. I wanted this project to feel like real life—sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful. This is music for your heart, for when you’re healing, or hoping, or remembering. I just wanted it to be honest, authentic, and true to self.”

With Lemon Chase, Kizz Daniel isn’t just offering new music—he’s opening a window into his soul, setting the tone for what listeners can expect on Uncle K, and reaffirming his place as one of Afrobeats’ most compelling voices.
