The Lagos State Government has presented financial aid to 15 associations and clusters that are officially registered with the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA).
The funds are intended to support the daily operations and management of these organisations, which provide care for people with disabilities.
At a ceremony held on Monday at the Secretariat in Alausa-Ikeja, LASODA’s General Manager, Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, presented cheques of ₦500,000 and above to each of the homes.
She explained that this is an annual initiative by the government aimed at providing “seed funding” to help the beneficiaries achieve financial independence and improve their quality of life.
