Nigerian rapper Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, popularly known as Vector Tha Viper, has shared how he met his wife, Yinka Coker, revealing that their first encounter took place at a nightclub.
Speaking on a recent episode of the MENtality podcast hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Banky W, the rapper challenged the common belief that meaningful relationships cannot emerge from social scenes such as clubs.
According to Vector, his wife’s personality contradicts the stereotype often associated with people who frequent clubs, describing her as a very homely person.
Recalling how their relationship began, he said: “I met my woman in the club. You will not believe she is super homely. Who would have thought? What was the first attraction? She was rapping Heavy D.
“So, you can’t take advice when it comes to a life partner. The typical advice that I heard before then was that there were no good women in the club.

“I am not saying you shouldn’t take any advice, you can have a few people who give you good counsel then on your own, you can decide what works for you,” he expressed.
The rapper used the experience to emphasise the importance of making personal decisions when choosing a life partner rather than relying entirely on societal expectations or popular opinions.
Vector and Yinka Coker tied the knot in a civil wedding ceremony in December 2022 and are parents to a daughter.
