Oxlade claims to have been singing since birth

Nigerian recording artiste, Oxlade has stated that he started singing before he could even talk.

Oxlade whose real name is Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman is one of the leading musicians in modern Afrobeats history.

Featuring in a recent episode of the ’90s Babies’ podcast, Oxlade claimed his parents told him that.

He explained that as a child he sang faster than he could follow up with talks.

“I started singing before I started talking. My parents told me that I started singing before I could even talk,” he explained.

“I sang faster than catching up with talks. That was what my parents told me. I feel like that was where it [my talent] all started from.”
