Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has called for a more aggressive approach following a controversial draw against England. The Black Stars were denied a late penalty in a tense encounter.
The incident occurred when Ezri Konsa challenged Prince Kwabena Adu inside the box. Despite loud appeals, neither the referee nor VAR intervened.
Frustration quickly spread through the Ghana camp after the decision. Head coach Carlos Queiroz even joked officials had “gone for coffee” during the moment.
Semenyo believes such moments require a different mindset moving forward. He insists the team must adapt to influence crucial calls.

“We talked about it in training that as players we need to gang around the referee…” he admitted. The forward stressed the importance of collective reactions.
“As a team we need to be more aggressive with officials, stay down longer…” he added. These tactics, he believes, could tilt decisions in tight games.
