Jamaica’s head coach Rudolph Speid has acknowledged the challenge Nigeria poses ahead of the 2026 Unity Cup final.
The Reggae Boyz will face the Super Eagles in London on Saturday with the highly anticipated final set to take place at The Valley.
This clash revisits last year’s dramatic encounter where Nigeria edged Jamaica on penalties after a thrilling draw.
Speid remains optimistic about his team’s chances this time, stating that he believes lessons have been learned from that defeat.
“It’s always exciting to play against Nigeria; they play exciting football,” Speid said.
The Jamaican coach praised Nigeria’s footballing strength, describing them as one of Africa’s elite teams.
“We always look forward to playing them,” Speid added.
Jamaica secured their place in the final convincingly after defeatig India 2-0 in the semi-final. Nigeria also beat Zimbabwe by the same scoreline in the other semi-final clash.
