Super Eagles and former Bendel Insurance defender, Benjamin Tanimu, has completed a move to Moroccan club Maghreb Fes. He joins from English League Two side Crawley Town after a brief but impactful stint.
The Nigerian centre-back made the announcement through his official X account on Thursday. In his post, he expressed gratitude to Crawley Town for their support during his stay.
Tanimu, who wore the number 28 shirt at Crawley, has signed a three-year contract with the Moroccan giants. His new deal runs until the summer of 2028.
While revealing the move, Tanimu described it as a new chapter filled with hope and excitement. He highlighted the warm reception he received at Crawley and thanked the club’s staff and fans.

Tanimu stated that Maghreb Fes will now be his home for the next three years. He added that he is eager to connect with the people and culture in Fes.
The 22-year-old defender hopes to achieve great things with Maghreb Fes in the coming seasons. He says he also aims to help bring joy to fans and the club’s management.
Before moving to England, Tanimu impressed with consistent displays for Bendel Insurance in the Nigeria Premier Football League. His standout performances earned him a Super Eagles call-up and international attention. He also spent six months at Tanzanian club Singida Black Stars prior to sealing his switch to Crawley.
Maghreb Fes, also known as MAS Fes, competes in the Moroccan Botola Pro League. The club is historically one of Morocco’s top sides, with a strong fan base and silverware pedigree.
Tanimu becomes the latest Nigerian talent to seek opportunities in North Africa’s competitive football scene.
