The Jordan Football Association has relocated its planned four-nation invitational tournament involving Nigeria national football team, the Super Eagles. Originally scheduled for Amman, the event will now take place in Antalya, Turkey.
The competition also features the Iran national football team and the Costa Rica national football team. The tournament forms part of preparations ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup for the participating countries that reached the mundial.
Officials explained that security conditions influenced the venue change: “The Jordan Football Association has decided to move the matches of the four-team international friendly tournament.”
Super Eagles begin campaign against Iran in Antalya
“Scheduled for March 2026, to be held in the Turkish city of Antalya,” an official statement read.

The statement added the decision followed “the current situation in the region and the limited movement of people.”

Eric Chelle’s Nigeria side will open their campaign against Iran on March 27. On the same day, Jordan will face Costa Rica in the other fixture.
Nigeria will then clash with host nation Jordan national football team on March 31. Meanwhile, Iran and Costa Rica will square off in the parallel encounter.
