Nigeria’s Super Eagles produced a commanding display to defeat Jamaica 3–0 in the final of the 2026 Unity Cup in London on Saturday, extending their dominance in the competition and claiming a record fourth title.
The Super Eagles wasted no time taking control of the match, with Alhassan Yusuf opening the scoring in the opening minutes after reacting quickest inside the box to put Nigeria ahead.
Eric Chelle’s men controlled large spells of the encounter, dictating play in midfield and limiting the Reggae Boyz to few clear-cut opportunities as they looked comfortable throughout the contest.

Nigeria strengthened their grip on the final in the 59th minute when Terem Moffi rose to head home from a Femi Azeez cross, doubling the advantage and leaving Jamaica with a mountain to climb.

The Super Eagles completed the rout in stoppage time as Yusuf grabbed his second goal of the evening to seal a convincing 3–0 victory and spark celebrations among the Nigerian supporters at The Valley.

The triumph means Nigeria have now won all four editions of the Unity Cup, having previously lifted the trophy in 2002, 2004, 2025 and now 2026, further cementing their status as the competition’s most successful side.
Nigeria reached the final after defeating Zimbabwe 2–0 in the semi-finals, while Jamaica booked their place in the title decider with a 2–0 victory over India.
The 2026 Unity Cup, held at The Valley in London, also gained added significance after being granted FIFA Tier 1 status, ensuring participating matches received full international recognition under FIFA regulations.
