Nigerian fashion designer Veekee James and her husband Femi Atere have become parents for the first time after the birth of their baby.
The couple shared the news through a video posted on Instagram on Wednesday, where they showed joy over the arrival of their daughter.
They revealed that the baby girl was born on May 2, 2026, and she has been named Eliana Adeife Atere.

They explained that the name carries the meaning “My God has answered,” reflecting their gratitude for the child’s arrival.
The couple also referred to a Bible message about a prayer that was answered by God, as they expressed thanks for the new addition to their family.

Veekee James and Femi Atere had earlier announced that they were expecting a child about three months before the birth.
In that announcement, they shared a video showing her pregnancy and spoke about how their journey into parenthood was based on faith and belief.
The fashion designer also expressed joy about becoming a mother, saying the moment was made possible through their trust in God.
The arrival of their baby marks a new stage in the couple’s marriage as they step into parenthood together.
