Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has warned Nigerians to be careful about attending house parties where hosts use the phrase, “We’re all adults here,” describing it as a reason to be cautious.
The singer gave the warning during an interview with Madam Joyce, where she spoke about her experiences with social gatherings and the kind of parties she avoids.
Tiwa said she does not usually receive invitations to house parties where guests are told that everyone present is an adult.
According to her, the phrase often signals that something inappropriate or potentially dangerous could happen at the gathering.

She advised Nigerians not to ignore the statement when they hear it at a house party, urging them to leave rather than remain in an uncomfortable or suspicious environment.
“I don’t get invited to house parties where they say, ‘We’re all adults here’. Whenever you hear that in Nigeria, you should run”, she said.
