The National Sports Commission (NSC) has rallied Nigeria’s 24‑man squad to deliver strong performances at the 2026 World Athletics Relays in Gaborone, Botswana.
The athletes have been urged to combine discipline, unity, and determination as they aim for podium finishes and seek to reaffirm Nigeria’s place in global athletics.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, April 28, NSC Director General Bukola Olopade declared, “The entire nation stands firmly behind you. We have absolute faith in your ability to deliver and make Nigeria proud.”
He stressed that the Relays provide Nigeria with a vital opportunity to reaffirm its standing in global athletics.
