Nollywood filmmaker and actor Stanley Ontop has raised concerns over an alleged plan to arrest actress Angela Okorie again shortly after her release from prison.
Angela Okorie was recently taken into custody and remanded at Suleja Prison over claims linked to defamation involving fellow actress Mercy Johnson.
On Friday, January 30, a Federal High Court in Abuja granted her bail, but she remained behind bars due to a delay in completing the bail process.
In an update shared on Tuesday through his social media page, Stanley Ontop said the delay was caused by late verification of her surety’s home address.

He added that the court has now approved her release and she is expected to regain her freedom soon.
Stanley further revealed that he received information about a new petition filed against Angela.
According to him, some police officers were reportedly stationed outside Suleja Prison, allegedly waiting to arrest her again immediately after she steps out.
He questioned the conduct of the police and expressed worry about Angela’s safety, insisting that she should not be harmed in any way upon her release.
Stanley also criticized what he described as repeated arrests instead of proper invitations, stating that citizens should be protected rather than subjected to such treatment.
He wrote, “Angela Okorie will be out in few minutes, there was a delay in the verification of her surety’s residential address yesterday. But the court has signed for her release now!
“We got an info that there’s a fresh petition against Angela Okorie and that some police men are stationed in front of Suleja Prison to apprehend her again immediately she’s released from the prison. May Nigeria never happen to you.
“@nigeriapoliceforce na like this una take dey work? What happened to invitation? Why are you people arresting citizens you are meant to protect? Make nothing shaa happen to Angela Okorie on her release day.”
