Super Eagles midfielder Christantus Uche is heading back to Getafe CF after an underwhelming loan spell in England. This comes after his time at Crystal Palace failed to meet expectations.
Getafe sporting director Toni Muñoz confirmed Uche will return to the Spanish club in the summer. The midfielder did not meet the required conditions for a permanent transfer and has now been overlooked in the Eagles’ plan for next season.
“It is taken for granted because Uche did not meet the required target of appearances.” It is important to note that Uche’s deal included performance clauses that were never triggered.

Uche struggled to secure regular playing time during his loan, making 14 league appearances without scoring or assisting.

His contributions in Europe were also limited. He featured in four UEFA Europa Conference League matches in which he scored two goals, including a world-class wonder goal against KuPs.
