Popular Nollywood actor Tayo Amokade, widely known as Ijebu, has urged law enforcement authorities to take action against content creator King Mitchy following the controversy surrounding her recent TikTok live session.
The call comes after widespread reactions online over Mitchy’s alleged suicide attempt during a livestream. According to reports, she consumed a household cleaning substance during the broadcast amid her ongoing public dispute with activist VeryDarkMan.
After the incident, her management claimed she took the action as a result of intense social media attacks from VeryDarkMan and his supporters. The development triggered heated debate across social platforms, with many Nigerians and public figures expressing concern. Some critics also decried what they described as a growing trend of using harmful narratives for online attention.
In a video shared on Instagram, Ijebu condemned the act and appealed to the police to intervene, stressing the potential influence such content could have on younger audiences.
