AbdulRazaq covers medical bills for 13 injured Kwara students in Sokoto crash

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved the immediate release of ₦5.25 million to cover medical expenses for 13 students of Kwara origin receiving treatment at Usman Dan Fodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto.

The students, who were involved in a fatal auto crash along the Yauri-Sokoto Expressway in Kebbi State while returning to school, sustained various injuries.

Tragically, the accident claimed the life of the driver.

Eight of the students reportedly suffered bone fractures requiring emergency surgeries, while five others are undergoing different levels of medical treatment.

In a statement issued by the governor’s Special Assistant on Students Affairs, Wasiu Onidugbe, the funds are intended to cover tests, scans, surgeries, and other urgent procedures itemised by the hospital.

Governor AbdulRazaq also conveyed his wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured students, offering prayers for their full and safe healing.
