Nice striker Terem Moffi has been called up to replace the injured Victor Boniface in the Super Eagles squad ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
NRTC earlier reported that Boniface is ruled out of the tournament after he sustained a groin injury in training.
23-year-old Boniface is now expected to be out of action for six weeks.

Boniface will fly back to his clubside in Germany to commence a proper treatment on his injury and subsequently, rehabilitation.
Moffiās inclusion awaits the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmation as well as his Ligue 1 club, Nice.
The 24-year-old former Lorient player’s omission from the final 25-man squad caused uproar.
He has scored six goals and assisted two others in the French Ligue 1 this season. Moffi featured for Nice in their goalless cup match against Auxerre on Saturday.

OGC Nice progressed from the round of 64 match after beating their opponents 4-2 on penalties.
