Former Big Brother Naija Season 7 contestant and ex-Miss Nigeria, Beauty Tukura, has revealed how the period following her disqualification from the reality show nearly drove her to take her own life.
She shared her story during an episode of the Beyond With Ezinne podcast, where she spoke about the emotional pain and public criticism that followed her eviction.
Beauty said the pressure and backlash made her feel hopeless, as she believed no one wanted to hear her side of the story.
After her removal from the show in 2022, Beauty said she struggled deeply with shame and could not face her parents.

According to her, she shut herself away, crying daily and battling thoughts of suicide.
However, her parents stood by her, showing constant love and support that gradually helped her regain strength.
The Taraba-born lawyer said she later chose to focus on the kindness she received from fans and family instead of the negativity.
The experience, she explained, became a turning point that taught her resilience and self-awareness.
Beauty described that period as the darkest moment of her life and said she has vowed never to repeat the mistakes that led to her downfall.
She said: “The heat was too much, and personally, I felt like nothing I said was going to make sense because all they wanted to do was crucify me like Jesus. It was very hard.
“I was too ashamed to see them. I didn’t know how to face them. I was in a very bad place.
“I cried every day. I was thinking of ending it. I almost actually committed suicide.
“I decided to focus on the love. Since then, I’ve always focused on the positive messages.
“That was the lowest point of my life, and I’ve decided it will stay that way. There’s no room for such mistakes anymore.”
She was disqualified from the Level Up edition of Big Brother Naija in August 2022 after getting two strikes for her confrontations with fellow housemates Ilebaye and Groovy.
