Music executive Ubi Franklin has opened up about his experience managing Chioma Adeleke, wife of Nigerian singer Davido.
Ubi, in an interview on the Afropolitan podcast, said Davido trusted him with the responsibility of managing Chioma, adding that the singer’s wife has a warm relationship with the people around her.
According to him, Chioma treats everyone around her like family rather than employees.
“Davido trusted me to manage Chioma. She treats everyone like family, not like you’re a worker,” Ubi said.

He also claimed that Chioma has not fully realised the level of popularity she has gained, despite being one of the most recognisable celebrity wives in Nigeria.

Ubi further recalled that Chioma remained active on social media during her pregnancy, participating in several TikTok trends.
He said he has continued to encourage her to share more of her content with the public.
“She still doesn’t realize how popular she is. When she was pregnant, she did many TikTok trends, and I’m still begging her to post,” he added.
The latest revelation comes barely two years after Ubi publicly addressed misconceptions about his role within Davido’s team.
In December 2024, Ubi pushed back against claims that he had become Davido’s personal assistant or was responsible for looking after the singer’s children.
The clarification followed a social media comment from a user who questioned how Ubi had moved from running Made Men Music Group to allegedly becoming a personal assistant to Davido’s wife.
Ubi responded by explaining that his work with Davido was on the business side and that he had the experience and qualifications required for the role.
He described himself as a business administrator for Davido’s team and said the singer calls him “The Solutionist.”
“Ubi is CEO of @mademenmusicg and if you see me working with Davido is because I have the required qualifications and experience to do the job of a business administrator,” he said.
“David calls me #thesolutionist do with that what you want. Definitely not his PA or Nanny like most of you have tried to taunt me with,” he added.
