The Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, May 15, 2026, arraigned a social media influencer and self-acclaimed relationship adviser, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO.
She was arraigned before the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos. She is facing charges linked to an alleged N36 million fraud case.
She was brought before Justice D.I. Dipeolu on two counts bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing.
The EFCC said the money in question was N36 million, which was allegedly received in connection with a property transaction involving a six-bedroom duplex in Lekki, Lagos.
The commission stated that the defendant is accused of presenting false details during the deal and later converting the funds for personal use.

The defence also asked for more time, saying discussions were still ongoing with the complainant to resolve the matter if full repayment is completed.
The prosecution counsel responded that the Federal Government is the complainant in the case and that the court should proceed with the arraignment.

The court agreed that discussions between parties could continue, but ruled that the case must proceed and the defendant should take her plea.
After the charges were read, Blessing CEO pleaded not guilty. The prosecution asked the court for a trial date and also requested that she be kept in custody.
Her lawyer, however, said she had just been served the charge a day earlier and that a bail application was being prepared.
He asked that she be kept in EFCC custody until the bail process was completed.
Justice Dipeolu ordered that she be remanded in EFCC custody and adjourned the case till June 5, 2026, for the start of trial proceedings.
