Ekiti 2026: Oyebanji to APC Members

Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has assured members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state that his political future is divinely secured ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

The governor, who gave the assurance on Friday during the May edition of the monthly ‘Evening of Praise and Worship’ programme held at Lady Jibowu Hall, Government House, Ado Ekiti urged them to remain calm and trust in God’s plan.

His remarks followed the official announcement of the 2026 governorship election date earlier that day by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Describing himself as “God’s project” on a “divine mission,” Oyebanji said he was neither anxious nor troubled about the future, stating that the outcome of the 2026 election had already been settled by God.

“I am God’s project, I am on assignment, and the Lord who sent me is more than able,” he declared.

“Let all APC members put their minds at rest. The battle is the Lord’s, and He has given us victory. Doubt itself is a sin, so I will never doubt God’s ability to make things happen for me.”

The governor revealed that he had received over 200 messages on Friday following the release of INEC’s timetable.

He encouraged party members to see the development as part of a divine process and a reason to rejoice.

“This is the day the Lord has made; we are glad and rejoicing in it. I’m not worried; I’m excited. I have nothing to fear because we serve a living God,” he said.

Oyebanji further emphasised that the APC-led administration had laid a solid foundation for progress in Ekiti State.

He highlighted key achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, economic development, and human capital growth over the past two and a half years, stressing that these gains were evidence of his sincere and transformational leadership.

He expressed confidence that both God and the people of Ekiti would reward the APC’s performance at the polls.
