The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has arrived in Enugu State to begin a two-day tour and sensitisation program across Enugu and Ebonyi states.

The visit is focused on showcasing completed and ongoing federal government projects.

Following the tour, the minister will host a Citizens’ Engagement Forum at the state government house to gather feedback from various community stakeholders.

Upon his arrival, Minister Idris met with Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah.

Idris praised Enugu as a vital state in the South-East and Nigeria as a whole.

He stated that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has made significant progress in its first two years through reforms aimed at national renewal.

The minister highlighted the removal of fuel subsidies as a brave decision that has freed up funds for impactful governance projects across the country.

In his response, Mbah credited the federal government’s reforms for enabling the state’s own development projects.

He thanked Tinubu for the concession of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport and reaffirmed his administration’s support for the success of the current federal government.
