Nollywood actress Shine Rosman has said that many Nigerian movie stars are not as financially comfortable as the public often assumes.
Speaking during a recent podcast hosted by her colleague Baaj Adebule, Rosman addressed what she described as one of the biggest misconceptions about Nollywood celebrities.

According to her, many people believe that actors in the Nigerian film industry are wealthy, but that perception does not reflect the reality for a large number of practitioners in the industry.

She explained that while a few actors may appear financially stable, their wealth often comes from other business ventures outside acting rather than film earnings alone.
Rosman said, “The most overrated misconception about Nollywood stars is that we have money. I don’t know why people assume we have money. Some of us do have money, but from other ventures. But many of us are struggling financially.”
