Nigerian businessman and lawmaker, Senator Ned Nwoko, has been linked to the arrest of Ann, who is known to be a close friend of his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels.
The arrest took place in Lagos on Monday, January 12, 2026, when officers from the Ajah Police Division reportedly picked Ann up.
A video shared online showed the moment she was taken away by the police.
Regina Daniels’ elder brother, Sammy, who posted the video on Instagram, said the officers came with a court order.
According to him, Ann was detained over allegations of conspiracy, assault, and theft.

Sammy insisted that Ann had never been to Senator Nwoko’s residence at any time.
He expressed disbelief over how a court order could be issued against her under such claims and accused the system of injustice, stating that the country had let them down.
He wrote: “There was no time Ann was ever at Ned’s house. So how is there a court order to detain her for conspiracy, theft, and all? Omo. Nigeria has failed us.”
The development comes amid ongoing tension between Regina Daniels and the senator.
Reports indicate that the arrest of people close to the actress started about two months ago, shortly after she publicly accused her husband of abuse and domestic violence.
