Senator Ned Nwoko has said he is not in contact with his estranged wife, Regina Daniels, and has no plans to bring her back to his home.
He made this known on Tuesday through a detailed statement posted on Instagram.
The lawmaker explained when and how the situation began, saying his only concern at the moment is for her to continue therapy due to what he described as ongoing behavioural issues.
According to him, Regina has been struggling over the past eight months, which led to several troubling events.

He stated that he sent her a WhatsApp message on 17 October, giving her a final warning about rehabilitation.
The senator said she had been acting under the influence of hard drugs, which caused incidents he described as irrational and sometimes violent.
He explained that after receiving the message, her conduct became worse and that she struggled to maintain basic hygiene and order in her environment.
Nwoko added that he tolerated the frequent visits of Phyna and her friends only to manage the situation around Regina.
He recounted an early morning incident where he found her filming him in the bathroom, saying it showed how unstable her actions had become at the time.
He called on those close to her to ensure she gets proper help from a recognised rehabilitation centre, insisting that therapy is the only priority for now.
In the post, he denied all claims of misbehaviour made against him, describing them as untrue.
He wrote that he would not support Regina’s lifestyle again until she is fully rehabilitated.
The senator also mentioned that she had shown progress during therapy before her birthday, alleging that she then spent four days in a hotel with friends in Wuse 2, during which issues involving drugs and clashes with police and guests occurred.
He concluded that the focus should be on protecting her wellbeing for the sake of their two sons, adding that when she regains clarity, the truth will become clear.
