Nollywood actor and reality TV star, Saga Adeolu, has expressed his reservations about kissing scenes in films, stating that he would rather avoid them if given the choice.
He made this known during an episode of the Nolly Icons podcast, where he addressed the common belief that actors take pleasure in romantic scenes.
According to him, this assumption is far from the truth, as many actors only participate in such scenes to effectively portray the script.
Saga also revealed that despite appearing in several romantic roles, he has never experienced what he would consider a pleasant onscreen kiss.

“It is not easy to kiss another actor. It is weird. I have not really had any good onscreen kiss. It is weird having people invade your mouth with saliva.
“It is not something we enjoy. People think we enjoy it, but we don’t. We are just doing it for the story most times. If I had my way, I won’t kiss anyone in a film… There was a day I kissed four different girls on set,” he said.

He further noted that actors deserve appreciation rather than criticism for performing such scenes, given the level of discomfort involved.
