NURTW, Methodist Church, others visit Gov Aiyedatiwa, pledge support

The leaders of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) visited Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to express their support for his administration.

In a statement by Governor Aiyedawa’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the group, led by Acting National President Aliyu Issa Ore and Acting National Secretary Kayode S.A Agbeyangi, came to offer condolences for the death of the governor’s predecessor and to declare their support.

The union, appreciating Aiyedatiwa’s management of motor parks and drivers in the state, announced their decision to make the Governor a Patron of the union.

Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the visit and support from the national union officers, highlighting his satisfaction with their efforts to restore peace and unity within the NURTW nationwide.

The governor also expressed his readiness to ensure that there is no leadership tussle in any union that can lead to breakdown of law and order in Ondo State.

At the Presidential Lodge in Akure, a political group led by former APC senatorial aspirant Mr Mathew Oyerinmade, known as MATO, visited the governor.

Accompanying Oyerinmade were Dr Rotimi Wilson, Hon Segun Odidi, Mr Nelson Omoyoloye, Surv. Niran Akinniyi, and Mr Kunle Oyegoke.

Mr Oyerinmade congratulated Governor Aiyedatiwa on his inauguration, praising the Governor’s efforts for the State’s development. The group also expressed condolences for the death of his predecessor, pledging support for the new administration.

Governor Aiyedatiwa thanked the group, commending Oyerinmade’s role in engaging grassroots participation in politics and governance in the state.

Additionally, a delegation from the Methodist Church of Nigeria, led by Prelate Dr. Oliver Ali Abah, visited the Governor, offering prayers for the success of his administration.
