Haleemah “Lima” Taiwo, daughter of the late veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has denied reports that her sister, Shakirat “Kira” Taiwo, recently welcomed a baby boy.
Lima addressed the report on Wednesday after a video claiming that Kira had given birth began circulating on social media.
The video attracted attention and led to several people contacting members of the family for confirmation.
According to Lima, the claim is untrue and members of the public should ignore the information being shared online.
She explained that the family decided to speak out after receiving repeated calls and messages from relatives, friends and other people seeking to know whether the report was genuine.

She also appealed to people to stop circulating unverified information about the family, especially as they are still dealing with the death of their father.
The video making the rounds reportedly showed a message presenting the alleged newborn as a copy of Ogogo.
It also created the impression that Kira had delivered the child shortly after the actor’s burial.

The claim emerged just days after Ogogo was laid to rest in Ilaro, Ogun State, in line with Islamic funeral rites.
The 66-year-old actor died on Sunday following a battle with stage four cancer.
His burial took place at his residence in Ilaro after a funeral prayer attended by members of his family, friends, colleagues in the entertainment industry and other sympathisers.
Ogogo was a respected figure in the Yoruba film industry and built a long career as an actor and filmmaker.
The family will observe the eighth-day Fidau prayer for the late actor on Monday in Ilaro.
A 40-day remembrance programme will take place as part of the activities connected with his burial rites.
Meanwhile, the family has urged the public to rely on information coming from them before sharing reports concerning their private affairs, particularly during the period of mourning.
