Phyno denies selling multi billion Naira Lagos estate over maltreatment of Igbos

Nigerian rapper Chibuzo Nelson Azubuike, better known as Phyno, has reacted after a user on social media platform X alleged that he sold off his estate worth 10 billion Naira.

The post made by the user claimed that Phyno regretted building the estate in Yorubaland and decided to sell it.

The X user identified as Justsociety wrote:

“Musician Phyno has allegedly sold off his 10 billion Naira estate in Lagos to an Arab man from Libya. According to Phyno, it was a mistake building such an estate in Yoruba land, where he feels his people are not welcomed.

“He stated, “The last election opened my eyes. The hatred towards Igbos is something that seems like it will last forever. Instead of building in Yoruba land, I’m relocating my estate to Enugu, where my people will make good use of it and it will remain safe for generations.”

The allegation quickly got attention online, prompting Phyno to respond directly.

He denied the accusation and expressed anger over the false story.

According to him, the information was completely made up and had no basis in truth.

His response showed deep frustration, especially because the claim suggested tribal reasons behind the alleged sale.

The rapper made it clear that there was no truth to the story and questioned the motive behind spreading such lies.

Phyno replied:

“You are a fool for cooking up this type of lie !!! Where are you heading with this ? Anwu nta 🫵”
