Sporting Lagos have completed the signing of Haruna Hadi from Remo Stars.
The midfielder has agreed a contract until 2028, with the deal now confirmed. Shooting Stars made a strong push to sign Hadi. Their offer to the player was 0.39 per cent higher than Sporting Lagos’s proposal.
Despite the financial difference, Hadi chose the Lagos club. The decision was not about money.
A visit to Hadi’s family changed everything. Sporting Lagos also presented a compelling long-term project. The player was attracted by the opportunity to play closer to his home in Lagos.

Remo Stars had already reached a full agreement with Sporting Lagos. The deal was nearly hijacked by Shooting Stars, but Sporting Lagos held firm and secured their man.
The decision may have cost him slightly in financial terms, but the pull of home and the club’s project proved irresistible.
