Following the petitions filed to nullify President Bola Tinubu’s emergency, the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, (tribunal) sitting in Abuja will on Wednesday, 6th of September deliver judgement.
The three petitions marked CA/PEPC/03/2023, CA/PEPC/04/2023, and CA/PEPC/05/2023 were brought before the court by the presidential candidate of People Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party, Peter Obi and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
The case was filed for the disqualification of Tinubu from the February 25 presidential election.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday signed by the Court of Appeal Registrar, Umar Bangari Esq, invitation into the venue is strictly based on accreditation.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Tinubu the winner of the presidential election, having gathered the highest votes.
INEC boss, Mahmood Yakubu said Tinubu polled a total of 8,794,726 votes to emerge victorious, defeatingĀ Atiku with 6,984,520 votes, and Obi, with 6,101,533 votes.

The statement read: “CA/PEPC/03/2023 between Mr. Peter Gregory Obi & Anor VS. Independent National Electoral Commission & 3 Ors. CA/PEPC/04/2023 between Allied Peoples Movement VS. Independent National Electoral Commission & 4 Ors.
“CA/PEPC/05/2023 between Abubakar Atiku & Anor VS. Independent National Electoral Commission & 2 Ors. In a bid to promote transparency and openness, these judgments will be televised live by interested Television Stations for the public to follow.
“Access to the Court premises will be strictly on accreditation. Only accredited individuals, including Counsel and representatives of Political Parties, will be granted access to the Courtroom. Interested members of the public are advised to watch proceedings from their television sets.
