Nigerian musician and record producer, Young John has stated that he does not believe in the ideology of a monogamous relationship.
The Nigerian music producer stated that polygamy as a form of marriage is more realistic to him following his superstar status.
Young John claimed that most people donāt believe in monogamy but donāt want to accept it, adding that everyone wants to be free.

His words: āI donāt want to be limited to just one woman. I am just free”. He said on Toke Makinwaās podcast, TokeMoments.

āContrary to the popular belief that musicians and entertainers are promiscuous, though thereās a lot of women around the scene, everybody is engaging in these things. Theyāre simply not as visible about it. Musicians, however, have their lives on display, so everyone sees what they do.
āMy polygamous nature isnāt because of the industry Iām in. Ever since I was a young boy, I used to question everything. Iād ask why it has to be one man and one woman. Since then, Iāve always wanted to explore different routes. I donāt want to say fantasies.ā
