Seventeen kidnapped victims have been rescued in Kaduna State during a successful military operation conducted by the Nigerian Army under Operation FANSAN YAMMA.
Troops from Section 1 of the operation tracked and freed the victims before handing them over to the Kaduna State Police Command for reunification with their families.
The rescued individuals include Samuel Ezekiel, Williams Ezekiel, Duza Ezekiel, Ishaku Ezekiel, Sunday Ezekiel, Alice Ezekiel, Victoria Ezekiel, Favor Ezekiel, Rebecca Obadiah, and Blessing Obadiah.
Others are Alheri Obadiah, Gift Obadiah, Jummai Obadiah, Gloria Obadiah, Charity Obadiah, Friday Jessy, and Theresa Friday.

In a statement, the Nigerian Army confirmed that all victims received medical care, were properly profiled and debriefed, and then placed in police custody for safe transit home.
Army officials described the mission as a reflection of the troops’ discipline and commitment to national security.
“Despite the challenges, the gallant troops’ morale and operational efficiency remain exemplary, which bears eloquent testimony to their dedication to safeguarding lives and restoring peace within the northwest geo-political region,” the Army stated.
This operation adds to a series of ongoing military efforts aimed at dismantling criminal networks and tackling insecurity across Nigeria’s northwestern region.
