The conversation focused on the growing security concerns across the country, the worsening economic situation, and the urgent need for national-minded leaders to contribute meaningful solutions to the nationโ€™s challenges.

The visit also carried a personal tone, as Atiku used the opportunity to celebrate Amaechiโ€™s birthday, which was marked a day earlier.

Their interaction featured moments of humour, especially when Atiku jokingly referenced Arsenal Football Clubโ€™s recent Premier League triumph while teasing Amaechi, a known supporter of the English club.

Amaechi reportedly welcomed the banter warmly and promised to host the former vice president to a serving of Rivers Stateโ€™s popular Fisherman Soup during a future meeting.

Meanwhile, NRTC had earlier reported that Atiku secured the ADC presidential ticket during the partyโ€™s primary election held on Wednesday at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

Official figures released by the party showed that Atiku polled 1,846,370 votes to defeat Amaechi, who garnered 504,117 votes, while former banker Mohammed Hayatu-Deen received 177,120 votes.
