Berger Paints Nigeria Plc has delivered a stellar financial performance for the year ended 2025, with profit before tax more than doubling to N2.29 billion.
This represents a 102% year-on-year increase, driven by strong revenue growth and improved operational efficiency.
The unaudited results, filed with the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) on Wednesday, show a broad-based improvement across all key metrics.
Group revenue rose 20% to N12.99 billion, benefiting from stronger market demand and improved pricing.
This growth translated efficiently down the income statement: gross profit soared 50% to N5.75 billion, while operating profit nearly doubled, rising 99% to N2.23 billion.
The company demonstrated significant operating leverage, with revenue growth outpacing the rise in operating expenses. Profit after tax saw an even sharper increase, climbing 143% to N1.48 billion, with earnings per share jumping to 512 kobo from 211 kobo.

The strong earnings were reflected in a fortified balance sheet. Total assets grew 23% to N9.25 billion, while shareholders’ equity increased 28% to N4.91 billion.
The company also reported a significant rise in net finance income, which provided additional support to the bottom line.
Investors have rewarded this performance, driving the share price up 40% over the year to close at N48.00 in 2025.
The stock has continued its ascent into 2026, trading at N58.90 on January 28 and giving the company a market capitalization of approximately N17.1 billion.
The 2025 results mark the third consecutive year of strong recovery for Berger Paints, building on momentum from improved cost management and operational resilience in a challenging economic environment.
The performance solidifies the company’s competitive stance in Nigeria’s paints and coatings market and underscores its enhanced ability to create shareholder value.
