Aiyedatiwa appoints Acting Chairman for ODIRS

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has appointed Bayo Rojugbokan as the Acting Chairman of the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS).

The announcement was made in a statement by the his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, following the resignation of the former Chairman, Tolu Adegbie.

Mr. Rojugbokan, an expert in tax, financial, and management accounting, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Ado Ekiti (now Ekiti State University) and a Master’s Degree from Babcock University.

In addition to his qualifications, Mr. Rojugbokan specializes in Cloud Accounting, Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Corporate Governance compliance. He is also a Certified Forensic Accountant, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

Mr Rojugbokan’s career includes a tenure as Senior Manager at Sterling Bank between 2014 and 2017, and he currently serves as the Principal Partner at Adebayo Rojugbokan & Co (Chartered Accountants) and Chief Executive Officer of Peacefort Consulting.

His extensive experience in taxation is further highlighted by his previous role as General Manager at JK Consulting Co. Ltd, Abuja, where he worked under the leadership of Dr. J. K. Naiyeju, JP, OON, FCA, a former Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and former Accountant General of the Federation.

Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed confidence in Mr. Rojugbokan’s ability to leverage his expertise to enhance the State’s internally generated revenue. He also extended his gratitude to the former Chairman, Adegbie, for his dedicated service to the state.

In addition to Mr Rojugbokan’s appointment, Governor Aiyedatiwa has also filled two vacant positions on the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). The new appointees are Olanrewaju Oyelade as a full-time member II and Prince Wale Adesulire as a part-time member.

The governor urged the new appointees to commit themselves fully to serving the people of Ondo State in their respective capacities.
